very nice. I didn't realise that there was a third airworthy Mk I

Yes the third "KL-A" flew for the first time just a few months ago and is currently based at Biggin Hill operated by the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar. I believe though that it is owned by the Friedkins in the States so it may well leave the UK before too long, I'm not sure though. It was nice to see it in the air and on the ground before it possibly goes.

Even if it goes to the states at least there is another Mk I about

Of course, I have no problem with it going over there, I am all for it actually and think the movement and trade of aircraft across the world is very important for variety. Aerolanes come and aeroplanes go, and this means there is an ever changing and evolving airshow and aviation scene. I have seen so many aircraft I never thought possible over the years and when it comes time for them to move on, inevitably something new and interesting comes along and fills the gap, long may it continue. The Fighter Collection over the last five or so years have sold their P-47D, Tigercat, Airacobra etc but now they have the P-40B, P-40F, P47G etc so it's always good that things evolve.
