Yes, it is operated by Unlimited Adventure and I believe it is from Owatonna, Minnesota. It has been touring Europe for the last few years and has made some appearances at some of Europes well known airshows. She will be returning to the US at some point, but I do not know when.

It flew across, I believe through canada, Greenland, Iceland and then through the UK. I think it was flown across in August or September 2010.

That was at least partially built here in Bridgeport Conn.
Several years back they restored an Excambian here and took it up to the NEAM in Bradley airport [link]

That has to be the oddest looking plane I've ever seen! Looks awesome though, whats it called?

The title of the photograph might be a hint ;) :D

I don't think it has any popular name, I think it's just a Sikorsky S-38. This particular example does have a name though as it is a replica of a famous S-38 which was used for filming wildlife films in the 1930 by Martin and Osa Johnson. This aircraft represents one of those aircraft that they used and is known as "Osa'Ark" The colour scheme of the aircraft which is how the original is a hint to what the aircraft were used for. :)
