Lovely shot! I know these were very popular trainers on the Continent, in fact I knew a chap who trained on one back in the '30s! I like the angle!! :)

Only 5 days until my first show, Can't wait to get the new camera in front of moving aircraft this weekend, Just hope all this nice weather holds.

The Shuttleworth Collection Spring Air Display at Old Warden. :) hopefully the should have the airshow debut of their newly restored Polikarpov PO-2 so I'm looking forward to it. I'm also heading up to East Kirkby on Monday as they are having a small event there too. Not an airshow but there will be a few displays in the form of the BBMF Lancaster and Spitfire and also a Mustang.

Excellent. I've not see the Shuttleworth Collection. I must try and get to Old Warden at some point. Do they have another Air Display later in the year?? I look forward to seeing the photos taken by your new camera. :)

They actually hold an Air Display twice a month,one afternoon show and one evening show. The evening shows run from around 5PM to about 8PM and can be fantastic for photo opportunities. If the weather is nice it is great to see such rare old aircraft display as the sun sets. If there is one place I would recommend in the UK to see an airshow then it is most definitely Old Warden. You won't see modern jets or anything there but you will see one of the worlds finest collections of vintage aircraft. Much of the collection are one and only examples left flying, and in some cases the only examples left at all flying or otherwise. I pretty much attend all there shows as I only live around 40 minutes away from the collection. The best thing about the place is that the sun is always behind during the shows so photo conditions are perfect. Check this video. [link]
